My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book defies categorization. I went into it on a recommendation from Brandice. I hesitated, because I know she likes straight up smut. But this isn’t a romance novel, at least not in the sense that I think of romance novels. The sex and the love are just touching details that illuminate this epic.

The Last Dickens by Matthew Pearl My rating: 3 of 5 stars
