The best food in India…Chinese food. Just had delicious dim sum. Also, about to by myself a ring…because I deserve it!
Back to the grind in Bangalore. Looks like it rained something awful last night. It is monsoon season after all.
Arrived safely back in Bangalore. Not quite home-sweet-home but at least familiar.
Tough day in Goa: room service just arrived, massage at 11, pool, beach, books….tough I tell you…
Arrived safely in Goa.
Got to bed too early last night. Can’t sleep anymore. Short day at work, then to Goa this afternoon!
Kind of obsessed with the Indian brand of pens they have here in the office. Must find while shopping!
Short day today. Came in at 10:30, leaving at 3pm to go shopping.
There is a kids’ talent show going on outside our window.
Maybe I'm feeling sort of homesick.
Since getting to Bangalore, we haven’t been doing too much touristy stuff. Our hotel is literally across the street from the client, so the most exposure I’ve gotten to the city is the 50 foot walk from door to door. That walk is mostly noisy and smelly; not the greatest impression of this city. Tomorrow night we’re going on a shopping expedition to a place called Commercial...
It’s way too cold in this office. Also, getting annoyed with the politeness here. When I get to NYC, someone better tell me to fuck off.
Brought my laptop to the pool to watch Heroes.
Took Tylenol PM last night and slept gloriously all through it. Jetleg defeated! Feeling well rested.
Weather in Bangalore is much less muggy than Mumbai. Awesome.
Initial India Thoughts
Mumbai is a strange city. You can tell that at one time it was a beautiful thriving city. It was considered the jewel of the British empire and many of the buildings are inspired by the British. But now it’s very run-down and dilapidated. Our tour guide said there is some sort of law against reconstruction, which leaves a lot of the city in ruins. Whenever we got out of the car it seemed...
Working in Bangalore.
Landed safely in Bangalore!
Lazy Sunday. Reading, gym, pool, lunch, then flying to Bangalore this afternoon.
Off for a driving tour of Mumbai!
Landed safely in Mumbai finally!
Ok, so I lied; still on the ground: mechanical problems.
Finishing up the paperwork, should be airborne soon.
Off to India! Bye-bye America!
Power outlets in Contintental Business First Class. And a MENU. FTW!!
At Newark! Yay flight delays!
Leaving for India tonight. Eating a PB&J. Getting pizza for lunch. Anything else American I must do?
I officially have 1.7 days worth of podcasts on my...

I'm sure everyone was wondering
Amy: so why exactly are you going?
Amy: your client is there?
Me: My client is converting to a shared service center in Bangalore that will do all its financial processing
Me: The people in India are performing data validation to make sure the old data get converted correctly
Me: And I'm going to make sure that they're validating correctly.
Me: Validating validation, if you will
Amy: lol sounds exciting

Me: Near Pakistan.
Drew: ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I know I haven’t been posting. So many times over my years as a blogger I’ve had to do the “sorry I’m not posting” post. But this time I have nothing to be sorry about. If you read this blog, you likely talk to me regularly (or at least have the means to). You therefore know that I’ve been stuck in the bowels of New Jersey, without internet at many times, given...
