Digital Fortress by Dan Brown
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Oh Dan Brown. I grabbed my boyfriend’s copy of this book off of our bookshelf, because it was Sunday and I desperate for something to read.
Typical thriller novel. Contrived plot, annoyingly succinct chapters, shallow character studies, predictable resolutions. The technological vehicles were mildly interesting, given that I work in tech. If technology/encryption doesn’t interest you at all, I doubt this novel would.
A page-turner for sure (I read it in three days), but I would only recommend for light beach reading or if you had nothing else to read (grab it in an airport bookstore, kill it on the flight home).
