The Blind Assassin The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a solid four star read. My second Margaret Atwood. I did not find the story as compelling as The Handmaid’s Tale, but I did enjoy it very much. I really like the approach Margaret Atwood takes to storytelling, creating a universe within a universe, making the reader feel as though they’re peeking into real events.

Some of the transitions between the many plot lines were confusing, because they all involve the same characters, just from different points of view. But I did love to watch these characters from so many angles and see them unfold as the story unfolds. There were also a lot of great war stories sprinkled in, from a civillians point of view, which I found interesting.

Atwood is now firmly on my favorite authors list.
